The role's objective is to provide field technical support for the geotechnical mapping of drill cores, assisting the geologist in measuring, testing, and recording structural parameters, as well as digitizing data, ensuring the quality, traceability, and reliability of collected geotechnical information. **Functions** * Provide direct support to the geologist responsible for core logging, assisting in sample preparation and collection of geotechnical data. * Perform measurements of geotechnical parameters such as RQD (Rock Quality Designation) and FF (Fracture Frequency), ensuring accuracy and consistency in records. * Conduct geotechnical field tests, including needle penetrometer tests, PLT (Point Load Test), and Schmidt hammer tests, according to established technical procedures. * Digitize and upload geotechnical mapping data shift by shift using tools such as Xilab, ensuring data integrity and availability. * Review and verify core recovery and borehole regularization, contributing to drilling process quality. * Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of operational technical procedures to optimize the efficiency and reliability of the mapping process. **Job Requirements:** * Technical degree in Geology or related technical field. * Drone operation license (mandatory) * At least 3 years of experience as a geotechnical assistant in drilling or bench mapping. * Experience in identifying geotechnical parameters in drill cores. * Proficiency with Xilab and technical data digitization. **Job Conditions:** * Work location: Antofagasta. * Shift schedule: 7x7 **Additional Benefits:** * Contract: Fixed-term for 2 months, renewable for an additional 2 months, with possibility of extension to indefinite. * Supplementary health and accident insurance. * Be part of a company certified by Great Place to Work. * Performance-based incentives. * Birthday gifts and holiday celebrations.
