Job Summary: We are seeking a Champion Rigger to strengthen technical and behavioral competencies in lifting operations, promote safety standards, and contribute to safe and efficient operations. Provide on-site training and advisory support on safe lifting procedures. **JOIN OUR TEAM!** At **United Pipeline Systems, Inc.**, we are a strategic partner specialized in delivering solutions to pipeline integrity challenges through high-performance thermoplastic systems for the oil, gas, industrial, municipal, and mining sectors. We are currently seeking a **Champion Rigger** to join the United team located in Antofagasta. **Terms:** * Shift: 5x2\. * Location: La Negra, Antofagasta. * Contract Type: Fixed-term, followed by indefinite-term. **Objective:** Strengthen the technical and behavioral competencies of personnel involved in lifting operations through training, on-site advisory support, and continuous follow-up, promoting compliance with client safety standards and contributing to safe and efficient operations. **Responsibilities:** * Deliver theoretical and practical training on lifting operations and rigging. * Advise on-site personnel on safe lifting procedures. * Accompany and monitor operators and riggers to verify correct application of standards. * Identify competency gaps and propose improvement plans. * Verify compliance with procedures, critical controls, and client safety standards. * Participate in inspections of lifting equipment and accessories. * Prepare management reports, observations, and training progress updates. * Promote a preventive and continuous improvement culture in operations. **Requirements:** * Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting operations within mining or industrial settings (Rigger). * Experience delivering training or staff coaching. * Experience in critical lifting operations, load movement, and interpretation of load charts. * Inspection and control of lifting accessories and equipment, applying fatality prevention standards, critical risk controls, and mining and industrial safety regulations. * Ability to train and coach personnel on-site, promoting safe practices and procedural compliance.
