Job Description Summary
The Implementation Advisor’s primary mission is to train Finning South America’s mining technology teams on successful work methodologies, transfer best practices between Finning Canada and FINSA, and serve as a field technical expert for the installation, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of MineStar technologies. The Advisor will work closely with the FINSA Implementation Manager and Operations Head to develop frontline technicians. Additionally, the Advisor will serve as Finning’s point of contact for developing MineStar technology-related best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop MineStar installation, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance best practices within Finning
* Lead coaching and mentoring of the FINSA team
* Support investigation of unusual issues as a field technical expert
* Maintain MTIS competencies for temporary replacements
Required Qualifications:
Professional Civil Engineer, Electrical Execution Engineer, or related discipline, with knowledge and understanding of technological systems, their implementation processes, and customer delivery
3–5 years of experience in a similar position
Reside in Antofagasta, or be available to relocate.
Experience in planning, implementing, and commissioning MineStar systems or equivalent technologies.
Must understand assembly processes of mining equipment and/or technologies implemented on such equipment.
Specialized technical knowledge of technology implementation and its relationship with electronic systems of Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar mining equipment, with emphasis on mining trucks, support equipment, loading equipment, and drilling equipment.
Knowledge of service planning methodologies.
