We encourage you to take the time to explore the opportunity of building a career with Freeport\-McMoRan. **Description** --------------- **Trainee Engineer (Beneficiation)** The primary role is to develop, control, and optimize short-, medium-, and long-term planning for the stacking area, ensuring sustainable growth of leach pads through operational design development, geometric control, and management of available capacities. All of the above must be carried out efficiently, safely, with quality, and with a focus on safe production, thereby guaranteeing operational continuity of the area. **Essential Functions:** * Develop and maintain up-to-date growth plans for the permanent pad of the stacking area. * Design and control construction parameters for production ramps, berms, benches, crowns, and slopes in accordance with defined operational and geotechnical standards. * Develop digital terrain models to support planning and operational control. * Generate drawings, profiles, and required technical documentation for leach pad construction. * Determine available capacities and growth projections for leach pads. * Understand modeling and planning of growth for mine cuts, permanent pads, waste dumps, or similar facilities. * Actively engage with peers across company management teams, environmental teams, Community Dialogue, permitting, Contract Administration, Procurement, and other engineering departments at Freeport. * Perform activities that promote and impact safety, environmental stewardship, energy efficiency, gender equality, and operational excellence. * Execute any other tasks assigned within their work area. **Qualifications** ------------------ **Minimum Requirements:** * University graduate (degree awarded) in 2024, 2025, or 2026, in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field. * Class B driver’s license with at least two years of validity.
