Position: Electric Shovel Mechanic - Radomiro Tomic Mine Site Job Purpose: Manage, perform, and support maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical components of equipment distributed by JoyGlobal at mine sites, meeting requirements within the work programs established by Contract Management for various equipment and current HSEC-Q regulations. The purpose is to carry out various tasks that provide support to peers at different levels. Responsibilities: Identify mechanical components used in equipment distributed by JoyGlobal. Perform theoretical and practical metrology. Use specific mechanical tools necessary for job functions. Use and complete quality control checklists for job performance. Participate in and apply lifting and rigging techniques with lifting equipment. Perform motor alignment procedures. Understand symbols and interpret mechanical drawings for equipment distributed by JoyGlobal. Carry out equipment assembly tasks. Interpret hydraulic and pneumatic mechanical diagrams in lubrication systems. Replace components and transmissions on equipment. Conduct assessment, maintenance, and brake adjustments. Perform alignment adjustments and preloads on mechanical parts and components. Know nitrogen usage procedures, risks, and applications. Identify, recognize, control, and report electrical and mechanical field risks.
