Job Description As a Kitchen Assistant, you will perform support functions for various kitchen activities—from food preparation to organizing, cleaning, and disinfecting equipment, utensils, and areas—to maintain compliance with food safety protocols and standards. Responsibilities * Perform food production tasks in the kitchen area and implement hygiene standards during food preparation; * Carry out preparatory operations for food preparation: cleaning, washing, as well as chopping, cutting, mixing, grinding, blending, sifting fruits, vegetables, meats, milk and dairy products, cereals, flours, legumes, and ingredients as required. * Participate in the preparation of standard or special meals, including food preparation and cooking. * Work in hot, cold, and pastry sections. * Assemble and serve meals to patients and staff; distribute meals to rooms and dining areas according to prescribed dietary regimens and the daily schedule. Requirements * Residence in Calama. * Minimum 1 year of experience working in collective catering facilities. * Basic knowledge of service protocols and quality standards in food service. * Availability to work on a 10x10 shift schedule. * Health compatible with job requirements.
